Borderlands

I bought this.

which included this.

which included this and some other stuff.

I bought this then started looking up videos of borderlands 3 and found out that that dlc 5 inlcuded a new skill tree for all of the characters so i ended up buying season 2 pass as well.

all in all it was about 60 dollars as it is currently on sale.

I’ve played some of the previous borderlands game but have yet to get my hands on this game as of the time that i bought this. Since then I’ve played through the eldritch horror dlc. which i can’t remember the name off the top of my head. I was listening to rhythm of war as I was playing so the story of the dlc was lost on me. i did read the captions where i could to get some idea of what was going on but mostly i just followed the quest marker

:P

——-

Alright, just beat the main game. I have almost no idea what is going on because I’ve been listening to rhythm of war while I play.

I lost, or misplaced my usb adaptor for my mac( I’m sure it is around here somewhere).

I wanted to record myself playing and upload, but oh well, I’ll have to look around when I have a good executive decision day and just relax.

Since true vault hunter mode has no influence on achievements I don’t see the point in replaying the main game. Just going to finish up the side missions, dlc, and see how far I can get with mayhem. Till them, I’m bouncing inside my own skull.

Oh, my dumbass apparently forgot to download all of the dlc so, I played the entire main game without having downloaded the directors cut dlc. For the uninitiated, that means I was artificially limiting my level progressions as the dlc allows for an extra variety of experience gain. It was the whole point of the dlc. oh well. At least I did manage to dl it in the end.

I have to practice typing faster because either I’m developing arthritis or some sort of crippling hand ailment because I can’t seem to type as fast as I think anymore. Well, think coherently.

I’ll keep you updated.

MTG ARENA

just started playing.

I’m not very good but I’ve learned reading the cards tells me what they do.

Was using this to a lot of success.

Going to try some drafting, I always watch youtube videos of the drafting section and seems really fun. I’m nervous I’m just going to lose all my money. Going 0-3 would be heart breaking. Which is why I have been sticking to a game mode where you can use gold instead of gems.

Not the best, but hear me out. I really wanted to proliferate.

I’m 1-2 so far and getting frustrated. Mana flooded twice. Which, I guess is my fault, I thought I had enough card draw. No removal really screwed me. I counted on being bigger than the opponent. Nope. turn two one giant 7/3 monster. I was shook. Going to try and get another win. I’ll let you know how it goes.

ended 1-3 I could have done a lot better, I learned a lot.

trying another Tinkerer’s Cube Draft, drafted this beauty. Managed to 7-2. Very happy with it. Soulherder is def the MVP of this deck. Having it out just made everything easier. Creating 3/3 first strikes every turn was fun and I could imagine demoralizing for the opponent.

having Pelt collector at the end screwed me, I saw it as another way to proc The Ozolith. It was ok with soul herder but was never really helpful. I would have probably taken both out in favor of cards like Ancestral Blade and Aven Eternal. The 4 toughness is a barrier I would not have been able to over come without evasion.

Barrin’s ability to remove a card from the battlefield is amazing then you have it working in tandem with Soulherder and things get spicy.

Again Soulherder just reinforcing how highly I should value this hard. A blink deck with the ability to control the opponents side of the battlefield while growing mine. ugh, yes.

7-2 with Bant(googled this) blink with lots of etb effects.

Base green blink

Tried to recapture the magic of the last deck to little success. However it does look fun. I had hoped for more removal as always.

such a close game. they tapped my mutt so I couldn’t black the one more point of damage. I was hoping then i could pop off the ondu inversion, make some tokens, then stall while they mill out. Oh well.

3-3. I think I’ll play one more draft and then call it a day.

the life gain that the god card provides is insane. didn’t realize how easy it was to activate or that it could be done so multiple times. Definitely going to start picking it higher.

pain.

ending up going 3-3 again. it was fun tho!

4.26.22

I’ll let you guess what my first pick was. I know this is ambitious, but, well, I play magic to do cool shit and this deck wants to do cool shit.

op saw I was playing infect and just noped out.

understandable.

I should off had more ways to proliferate. Still managed to win a game actually using the infect mechanic which I have to say is pretty fucking awesome. This win goes out to Craig Blanchett from game knights.

ended up going 4-3

sealed deck for new capenna

I don’t really ever play sealed but I figure since its a new set and i had the opportunity so i tried it. I ended up going 4-3 which I guess is ok. My average on mtga seems to be around 3 wins 3 losses. which is ok i guess. I don’t play enough magic to know what is normal but i don’t ever feel like I’ve wasted my money when I play and often times win enough back to continue playing more, so theres that.

Did a kaldeheim (or how ever the fuck you spell it) draft and I may have gone overboard on fixing/ land.

again went 4-3 I really need to prioritize card draw more. It keeps being my greatest issue in game. oh well, you live and you learn.

woooo

Back 4 Blood

Been playing Back 4 Blood since it became available on Game Pass.

tunnels of terror dlc is out and I’m actually having a lot of fun with it. Decided to hope on discord and try and make some friends, or at the very least get some people to play with & it has been going great.

Just completed act 1 with doc on nightmare. It isn’t my first time playing nightmare, or a doc build, but it is my first time doing 5 hives, it actually might have been more because i got some achievement for exploring all of the dlc. I should have been recording or at least taken a picture of the final build because it was something else.

We had a friend of one of the people in the group join, replacing someone else who had to go to practice. They ended up being able to pick their entire deck when they joined plus 40 extra cards. It was insane just how powerful each of us was individually. Together we were almost unstoppable. I mean, bullshit always happens and random number jesus reigns supreme.

It was a lot of fun and I’m debating spending 15 dollars to purchase the dlc. Apparently you don’t even need to purchase the dlc to have access to the characters you. just have to play a game more that no plays( SWARM) to unlock them. Maybe someitme in the future if i really want to play either of them. But i doubt it.

april 20th

I’ve invested entirely too much time into this game at this point. Here’s why. I’m pretty new to discord. Really New. In fact this is the first time I’ve used it, and I’ve seemingly integrated it into my b4b experience; as every time I play I sign onto Discord in order to find a play group.

TBH it often takes 10-30 min to find a group but thats mostly because not a lot of people play this game. With the last update making the game entirely more playable i believe its too little to late. which is a shame because I’ve actually started to care about getting the ZWAT skins. Which are just the in game skins you get for beating all 4 acts on nightmare difficulty with a character. Like a prestige thing I suppose. I never really cared because I don’t think the skins are particularly good but I guess if I’m being honest with myself I want to be a completionist about it.

Ring of Pain

Picked it up on Game Pass and I’m having a blast with it.

Rogue like. Dungeon crawler elements.

It is a game I can play while listening to audiobooks.

Elden Ring

I’m ready for the pain. Bring it on From Software - March 6

Alright.

We picked the sorcerer class because if know anything about FROM SOFTWARE is that they like to add difficulty settings in weird ways to their games. One of those ways is the implementation of certain play styles. Range for instance is historically considered to be easier than melee classes. Sorceries, and pyromancers being the easiest paths in the games. (generally) I’m sure you could argue it. This is simply my baseline. Another way they throw in that artificial difficulty setting is leveling. I figured despite whatever goes on I could potentially just make the game easier by grinding some levels.

I’m not trying to min-max. Just wanted to pick a class that I believed would allow me greater opportunities to explore. And therein lies the problem. I’m 14 hours into this fucking game and I still haven’t fought a boss. Well, no maybe I have. I’m not sure what denotes a BOSS BOSS. Maybe a mini-boss or two. Disgruntled mobs. Angry fauna. I don’t know what it was.

I’m playing on an xbox one and the graphics aren’t anywhere what I’m seeing on YouTube. Mind you, I don’t care. I see how beautiful the game looks on pc/next gen consoles and it really is beautiful. Makes me want to pick one up.

If I could find one. Maybe I would.

Anyway, yeah. 14 hours in and all we’ve done is explore. I’ll check back in later. - March 9

I have yet to beat the game. However. Most of that stems from just not playing all that much. I’m at about 40 hours played which considering how long I’ve had the game for really isn’t all that much. Gone are the all night gaming sessions of yester year. Now I spend most of my leisure time reading.

I should be recording but I’m too lazy to set up that game capture. To be honest. I’m not all that positive I want to add the pressure of playing on cam.

sorcery is till the best girl <3
