Elden Ring

I’m ready for the pain. Bring it on From Software - March 6

Alright.

We picked the sorcerer class because if know anything about FROM SOFTWARE is that they like to add difficulty settings in weird ways to their games. One of those ways is the implementation of certain play styles. Range for instance is historically considered to be easier than melee classes. Sorceries, and pyromancers being the easiest paths in the games. (generally) I’m sure you could argue it. This is simply my baseline. Another way they throw in that artificial difficulty setting is leveling. I figured despite whatever goes on I could potentially just make the game easier by grinding some levels.

I’m not trying to min-max. Just wanted to pick a class that I believed would allow me greater opportunities to explore. And therein lies the problem. I’m 14 hours into this fucking game and I still haven’t fought a boss. Well, no maybe I have. I’m not sure what denotes a BOSS BOSS. Maybe a mini-boss or two. Disgruntled mobs. Angry fauna. I don’t know what it was.

I’m playing on an xbox one and the graphics aren’t anywhere what I’m seeing on YouTube. Mind you, I don’t care. I see how beautiful the game looks on pc/next gen consoles and it really is beautiful. Makes me want to pick one up.

If I could find one. Maybe I would.

Anyway, yeah. 14 hours in and all we’ve done is explore. I’ll check back in later. - March 9

I have yet to beat the game. However. Most of that stems from just not playing all that much. I’m at about 40 hours played which considering how long I’ve had the game for really isn’t all that much. Gone are the all night gaming sessions of yester year. Now I spend most of my leisure time reading.

I should be recording but I’m too lazy to set up that game capture. To be honest. I’m not all that positive I want to add the pressure of playing on cam.

sorcery is till the best girl <3
